Mayweather v Canelo: undefeated champions face off in Time Square - video

This time the fight that boxing fans want to see most got made. Pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. and junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez signed on to fight September 14 in the main event of a Showtime pay-per-view event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in the biggest fight boxing has to offer. We remember the Mayweather – Guerrero fight in May 2013, but this time the Mayweather – Canelo fight, however, promises to be much bigger.

36-year-old Mayweather (44-0-0, 26 KOs) holds a world title at welterweight (147 pounds), but he also still owns a junior middleweight title (154), which he won by outpointing Miguel Cotto in May 2012. After that fight, Mayweather returned to welterweight and defended the title against Roberto Guerrero in a lopsided unanimous decision win on May 4 at the MGM Grand.

On the other side, Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KOs) the Mexican – also known as Canelo –  who will be turning 23 at the fight on September 14 in Las Vegas is the current WBC, WBA, and Ring Magazine Light Middleweight Champion.

Now the question is, who will be the first to beat undefeated Floyd Mayweather? Let’s see on September 14, 2013 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
