When you’ve had enough of the winter and just want to escape, think the Caribbean. Indeed, when winter and the snow arrive in the northern hemisphere and if you’re like me, you hop on a plane and go south onto the beautiful sandy beaches, the sun, the palm trees and you await your rum punch. The tropical islands are popular destinations, but with the many islands of the Caribbean from which to choose, how do you narrow it down to just one? Thanks to luxury Concierge Company and travel expert Pure Entertainment Group, we have selected a list of the perfect 5 islands to visit in the Caribbean. Obviously, the list is subjective; every island has it own personality, and all of them offer great dining, lots of attractions and things to do, 5-star hotels and resorts, luxury villas and of course plenty of relaxation.

Below you will find the list of the top 5 islands to visit in the Caribbean: (In no order)

St Barts or St Barthelemy

The official name is St. Barthélemy but everyone calls it St. Barts; being part of the French West Indies, St Barts is a beautiful island that attracts discerning travelers, celebrities and the rich and famous. But why do people come to St Barts? The answer: the beautiful pure white sandy beaches, turquoise sea, the great restaurants and high-end boutiques, and of course the laid back atmosphere. St Barts is a Caribbean jewel, go visit you’ll not be disappointed. A great party island!

The Bahamas

If you love snorkeling, scuba diving (the visibility is unbelievably good there), casinos, nightlife, shopping malls, restaurants and everything else to keep you busy, there is one best option: Welcome to the Bahamas Island, an ideal romantic getaway but also one of the top Caribbean tourist destinations. Don’t forget your camera for memorable souvenirs! You can read more about the Bahamas on our previous article here.

Turks and Caicos

Southeast of the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos is an oasis for those seeking to do little more than lounging on the beach, as there are few diversions other than surf, sun, and sand. Attractions include Sea adventure to explore the miles of coral reef, diving and snorkelling, and land recreation such as horse back riding, golf, field sports, tennis and caving. Providenciales is the best known and most developed of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Other areas of interest include Parrot Cay, Grand Turk and Salt Cay.

The British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands also called the Virgin Islands is a British overseas territory that offers some of the best yachting and sailing opportunities of the Caribbean. If you’re like me, you charter a yacht for a day and explore the best beaches around the islands. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with this paradise on earth like Sir Richard Branson when he bought his own island; Necker Island. The British Virgin Islands is a favourite destination for couples seeking romantic getaways or planning weddings and honeymoons. The main islands consist of Tortola, Anegada and Virgin Gorda.

Bermuda

It’s no wonder couples love Bermuda for their weddings and honeymoons celebrations; the island is a FABULOUS paradise in the Caribbean. Bermuda boasts a myriad of beaches to please every sort of shore lover but also you can spend the days boating, golfing, shopping or swimming with dolphins. You can explore crystal caves and historical museums, forts and churches. The Capital city Hamilton will please you with everything from fine dining to fast food, jazz clubs to Irish pubs and luxury resorts to intimate cottages. Bermuda is a must!
