Looking for relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple? Then look no further. Amy Cassell from Spa Magazine unveiled a list of 10 great New York City Luxury Hotel Spas that have their own special touches that make each of them a well-deserving escape in the middle of the world’s busiest city.

1) Bliss49 Spa at the W New York
The famed Bliss day spa has a super-sized, two-story outpost at the hip W New York. The spa menu has all the standards: massages, facials and body wraps; plus there’s a spa snack buffet complete with brownies! Guests of the hotel have “Bliss Important Person” status and 24-hour in-room massages available upon request.

2) Caudalíe Vinothérapie Spa at The Plaza Hotel
This famed French outpost created the concept of vinotherapy – incorporating beneficial grape seeds into spa treatments. You’ll find the practice at its Plaza Hotel location in treatments like the Merlot Wrap, Crushed Cabernet Scrub and Vinopure facial treatment. Other spa amenities: Vichy showers, steam rooms and a French Paradox Wine Lounge complete with spa sommelier.

3) The Chatwal Spa by Kashwére at The Chatwal Hotel
The small but luxurious space at the chic Chatwal Hotel has three treatment rooms, three private changing suites with steam showers, a saltwater lap pool and two plunge pools. High-tech treatments include oxygen infusion facials and anti-gravity facelifts.

4) Exhale Spa at Hotel Gansevoort
One of Exhale’s five New York City locations is at the Hotel Gansevoort in the super trendy Meatpacking District. Amenities include hydrotherapy pools, a glass enclosed co-ed steam room and fitness studio offering the spa’s Core Fusion classes.

5) La Prairie at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park
Overlooking the city’s most well-known green space, this luxury Ritz-Carlton is home to famed Swiss brand La Prairie’s first stateside outpost. One of their favorite ingredients to use in treatments is caviar, which may look and feel strange at first, but packs tons of anti-aging benefits.

6) The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, New York
At the Mandarin Oriental, New York’s spa you’ll find six treatment rooms, a Thai Yoga suite with deep soaking tub and a VIP spa suite (pictured) with fireplace; amethyst crystal steam rooms; vitality pools; and a 75-foot indoor lap pool. The three-hour Thai Yoga Experience is a splurge that includes a foot ritual, Thai massage and herbal bath.

7) The Peninsula Spa by ESPA at The Peninsula New York
This secluded rooftop spa at The Peninsula New York is decorated with soothing brown tones, hardwood flooring and modern, comfortable furniture. An outdoor terrace overlooks the bustling city, while inside, soothing spa treatments are inspired by a blend of Asian, European and Ayurvedic philosophies.

8 ) Sense spa at The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel
This classic, elegant spa mimics the feel of its surrounding neighborhood, Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and looks more like a cozy, well-decorated home than an actual spa. The high end Sisley product line is used exclusively in treatments like the Hydration Intense facial and the Carlyle Signature Ritual.

9) Shibui Spa at The Greenwich Hotel
This exclusive spa, only open to guests of the Robert DeNiro-owned Greenwich Hotel, is completely Asian inspired, with treatments like lotus massages and Chinese reflexology. Other pluses: a fitness studio and indoor pool housed in a wood and bamboo Japanese farmhouse that was reconstructed within the hotel.

10) The Spa at Trump SoHo Hotel
Spread over 11,000 square feet on two levels, the Middle Eastern-inspired Spa at Trump SoHo is the only luxury spa in the city with a Turkish hammam. For the ultimate spa vacation, book one of the three spa suites, which come with en-suite treatment spaces and saunas.
