Scottsdale Arizona Golf course

Scottsdale, Arizona is one of my favorite places to visit in the US. Very close to Phoenix, Scottsdale is a quiet escape from the Phoenix business, while still giving you the feeling that you’re in the center of the action. From the top restaurants, to the buzzing nightlife, this is a city that you certainly should discover. Part of what makes Scottsdale so alluring, however, is its notoriety for relaxing spas and perfect golf greens, among other things. Keep reading to discover the 10 reasons why bespoke luxury concierge company Pure Entertainment Group just love Scottsdale, Arizona.

1 – J&G Steakhouse
Michelin starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten brings his talent to the Phoenician hotel with this modern steakhouse. The rich purple and gold décor exude sophistication and style, making this restaurant the perfect place to enjoy a perfectly prepared steak. J&G Steakhouse’s décor, combined with the spaciousness of the area, its unique layout, and perfect location, provide an ideal setting to take in the sunset over the valley while enjoying a delectable meal.

2 – Revolver Lounge
Taking over the location of my old favorite party place, Six Lounge, Revolver is one of the newest hotspots to grace Scottsdale. This western-yet-sophisticated-themed lounge is where the affluent youth go for a night of drinking and dancing. A glance around the warm-toned room will reveal beautiful people mingling at the faux-croc bar. Revolver Lounge somehow manages to pull off the feel of being in an old-fashion Western while still maintaining its sophisticated edge. Stick ‘em up!

3 – Sanctuary Resort and Spa on Camelback Mountain
To say that the spa at the Sanctuary Resort is an escape is an understatement. Offering unparalleled views of Paradise Valley, this award-winning spa will relax and rejuvenate you with its Asian-inspired treatments. With 5 tennis courts, a mediation garden, a reflecting pond, and a Watsu pool, I can spend my entire holiday at this spa. The Sanctuary spa offers treatments options outdoors as well as indoors, so on those balmy days, you can opt to relax in comfort indoors.

4 – Golf
Most of you avid golfers already know that Scottsdale is notorious as having some of the best golf greens in the US. The city offers countless options for tee time, which can certainly become overwhelming, but Troon North Golf Club stands above the rest. With its immaculate greens and its picturesque views of the desert and mountains, you can really lose yourself, or evaluate your swing in the Callaway Performance Center. After tee time, enjoy a drink, a meal, and VIP treatment at the Dynamite Grille. Troon North, a private favorite to many celebrities, offers a level of luxury and class that far exceeds any other golf club in the area. Time to tee off!

5 – Weather
One of the best things about Scottsdale is its weather. The summers are hot, since, well, it’s the desert, but it’s dry, so the heat is still bearable and welcome. While the winters are mild for Phoenix standards, the weather is still warm enough for time spent there during the winter to be extremely enjoyable. With little rain and cool winters, the weather is still ideal for golfing year-round, as well as strolling outdoors or hiking through the national parks any day of the year. Those of us in colder climates can really appreciate the milder winters!

6 – White House
You may not find Obama at this new restaurant and lounge, but Scottsdale’s White House looks like the twin to the president’s home, complete with magnificent white pillars. The sophisticated ones of Scottsdale, and all the vacationers who are in the know, flock to White House for a night on the town. One night at White House and there’s no wonder why the New York Times called Old Town Scottsdale a “desert version of Miami’s South Beach.”

7 – Grand Canyon
What would a trip to Arizona be without a stop at the Grand Canyon? Tourists from all over trek to the Grand Canyon to explore, hike, and learn about its history. For a venture off the beaten path, take a short helicopter ride to have an adventure unlike any other. With kids, your honey, friends, or alone, exploring the Grand Canyon is a definite must!

8- Scottsdale Fashion Square
Every shoppers dream comes to life in this 2 million square foot masterpiece. The largest shopping mall in Arizona, Fashion Square has 2 wings, east and west. Each wing is filled with shops and boutiques for every shopper. From the high-end such as Barney’s New York, Bottega Veneta, and Carolina Herrera, to the thrifty but still trendy H&M, Crate & Barrel, and everything in between, I can (and have) spent days shopping in this shopper’s version of heaven.

9 – Olive & Ivy Restaurant + Marketplace
For a trendy and fun, yet elegant after-shopping meal, Olive & Ivy is the best choice. The menu is the perfect fusion of timeless Mediterranean flavors with modern California chic on the Scottsdale waterfront. The restaurant brings Mediterranean sparkle together with the laid-back style of Cali. Enjoy a glass of wine at the bar, or grab one of the many baked goods or a scoop of house-made gelato at the Olive & Ivy Marketplace.

10 – Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
There’s a reason that princess is in the name of this hotel. The AAA, Five-Diamond resort is as regal as they come. In true Fairmont standards, the resort’s beauty will amaze you. With the Willow Stream Spa, two award-winning restaurants, two 18-hole championship golf courses, and picturesque Hacienda Plaza, it’s hard to imagine ever leaving this oasis. Oh yeah, Scottsdale Fashion Square…
