Camus Cognac has unveiled its Cuvée 4.176 Cognac in Hong Kong, the second opus from the Camus Masterpiece Collection by Cyril Camus. Individually numbered and limited to 980 exclusive bottles presented in a beautiful Baccarat crystal decanter by Serge Mansau, the cognac is composed of four eaux-de-vie which offer a combined age of at least 176 years – hence its name – Cuvée 4.176.

The eaux-de-vie comes from a single vineyard owned by a family in the Petite Champagne region where they apply traditional methods to their vines. Distilled off the lees in an old, coal-fired alembic of 10hl capacity, they have been aged in a very dry cellar.

This exceptional Cognac offers sugary notes of honey and dried bananas, fresh figs and plums, crystallized orange and pastry melt, hints of ginger and pepper, old oak, cedar-wood, tobacco and charentais ‘rancio’. On the palate it blends hazelnut and almond with raisins, ginger and nutmeg, café crème, ‘rancio’, spice, cedar and sandalwood. The Cuvée 4.176 Cognac is currently on sale for HK$26,000 (approximately US$3,350) and can be found in the Duty Free section of Hong Kong International Airport.
