Scott Conant has opened an outpost of Scarpetta, his New York City Italian, in Miami Beach’s luxe Fontainebleau resort (4441 Collins Ave.) complete with a nautical-inspired design that includes a wraparound terrace overlooking the pool;though the restaurant’s name means “little shoe,” the menu of richly refined fare is priced more like Manolos (305-674-4660).
Another prime slab of NYC lands at the Fontainebleau with Gotham Steak from Alfred Portale (Gotham Bar & Grill), which adds unique Italian, French and Asian touches to its steakhouse menu; its double-decker wood and glass dining room is set aglow with a cascading hand-blown chandelier, making it as easy on the eyes as it is tough on the wallet (305-674-4780).
