Finding good food in Montreal, that’s easy. Indeed, the city has so much to offer in terms of food and culinary diversity. However, finding impeccable service that matches food quality, well that’s a different story.

Pure Entertainment Group‘s CEO/FOUNDER Steve Edo, who considers himself a foodie, reveals his 30 favorite casual and high-end dining options in Montreal right now. Some of these cuisine options include French, Japanese, American, Fusion, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Indian, of course French Canadian. “I’ve dined at all of these restaurants and I can tell you they’re worth a visit” adds Steve Edo. The 30 best dining options in Montreal are:

1) Aix Cuisine du Terroir. Contemporary French fine dining with lots of Quebec flavors. My guests and I loved it there and will certainly return.

2) Apollo Globe. If you’re in for a gastronomic pleasure, Chef Giovanni Apollo will prepare unique and delightful dishes. Apollo restaurant is a must!

3) Ariel Bar a Vin, Cuisine Locale. Ariel is one of the best-kept secrets in town; charming and intimate this restaurant offers great food and a superb wine list.

4) Au Pieds de Cochon. Good dining spot but make sure to reserve or you might be turned away.

5) Bar et Boeuf. Once you enter the doors of this Old Montreal restaurant, you know you’re in for a treat. Can’t wait to go back!

6) Barroco. Very cozy and warm feel to the place, Barroco is a prime date spot. The food always exceeded my expectations on all my visits.

7) Bice Ristorante. For those who love to eat, laugh and love. Come see and be seen at this high-end downtown spot where the food is superb.

8 ) Bonaparte Restaurant. Classic French cuisine, the food is of high quality and the service is superb. I double recommend.

9) Buenanotte Restaurant. The contemporary Italian dishes are very good and the portions are acceptable. Don’t miss their pizzas!

10) La Capannina. I love their homemade pastas, seafood dishes and veal. Don’t forget to taste the Tiramisu.

11) Chez La Mere Michel. A true delight with impeccable service worthy of the greatest French establishments. It is one of the best restaurants in Montreal.

12) Le Club Chasse et Pêche. It is probably the most well known high-end restaurants in Montreal and rightfully so, it is really an experience.

13) La Coupole. A French Brasserie concept; I went there on different occasions and always had good memories and positive comments to share.

14) Restaurant Renoir. I loved the food at this French restaurant (especially their different menus), even if its pricey it’s worth every penny!

15) Europea Restaurant. This gorgeous French restaurant offers very refined food and first class service. Be sure to try out the tasting menu with wine pairing: FABULOUS.

16) Ferreira Café. An ideal spot for anyone wanting to savor Portuguese delicacies in a Mediterranean décor.

17) Gandhi. This Indian restaurant engages all your five senses to create a memorable dining experience. Ex: Tandori lamb or chicken Korma…

18) Gibbys Steakhouse. Been there once and always returned. Gibbys still has the same exceptional service and excellent food whether its fine seafood or expertly aged steaks.

19) The Keg Steakhouse. The downtown location is my favorite. Go for the Filet mignon and the crème brulée for dessert. A true delight!

20) Le Local. They have a gorgeous terrace in the summer and the food is good. It’s also a great spot for after dinner.

21) Lemeac. Lovely place for a nice summer dinner especially on the terrace. I’ve yet to be disappointed at this French bistro.

22) Maiko Sushi. My favorite location is the one on Bernard St. because the portions are generous, the food is fresh and the staff is friendly and helpful.

23) Le Mas des Oliviers. A small, traditional French restaurant where rich cuisine and impeccable service are important. Don’t miss the Grand Marnier soufflé.

24) Milos Estiatorio. Greek food at its best, Milos offers delicious fresh food and polite service. It is one of the best dining spot Montreal has to offer.

25) Misto. Trendy Italian restaurant in the Plateau area where you can see and be seen. Perfect for a night out. My favorite is the Calzone with chicken!!

26) Le Pois Penche. This upscale French bistro restaurant is a fantastic place to have fresh oysters with champagne. C’est si Bon!!

27) Queue de Cheval. Well known outside the city, Queue de Cheval is a Montreal institution worth the experience for their food and the exceptional décor.

28) Ridi Ristorante. Excellent food, great staff and great ambiance. Ridi ristorante is the perfect place for a special occasion.

29) Le Saint Gabriel. Only the best products and gourmet dishes that Quebec has to offer. Go for the Carte Blanche tasting menu or the seafood platter. Yummy!!

30) Toqué! If you’re searching for the quintessential fine dining experience, Toqué! restaurant will more than satisfy you on every level. I highly recommend their tasting menu.
