Red Bull Racing at Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix

Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit, the location upon which the Formula One Malaysian GP is annually contested, is one of the most challenging circuits in the Formula One calendar.

Originally built during the 1990s, the Sepang Circuit is embedded into a valley, which ensures that race goers are able to see almost half of the circuit at all times during the race, marking it out from its contemporaries as one of the premiere spectator events in the Formula One Calendar.

With the 2013 Formula One Malaysian GP just days away, Sunday March 24th will see the world’s top drivers do battle in tumultuous conditions. Recognized as one of the most difficult circuits in the world of motor racing, the Sepang Circuit sees drivers dueling as early as the first corner. The winner of the race is often decided within the first few seconds as drivers hurtle towards the first tight double hairpin bend. It makes for quite the spectacle.

If the long, high-speed straights and tight twisting complexes were not enough to mark the Formula One Malaysian GP out as one of the most technical and complicated F1 circuits in the world, the unpredictability of the weather further adds credence to that particular argument. The overwhelming heat, humidity and occasional, and unpredictable, tropical storm are the proverbial icing on the cake of complexity. If it’s thrills, spills and excitement that you’re looking for, the Formula One Malaysian GP provides it in abundance.

The 56-lap race is always one of the most memorable races of the Formula One season and a fantastic event to attend while in Malaysia. When the racing is over, the nearby city of Kuala Lumpur is full of majestic, cultural wonder.

Staying in one of the city’s luxury hotels, the Hilton, the Shangri-La or Swiss hotel, Kuala Lumpur offers discerning travelers or businessmen the opportunity to sample the delights of Malaysian culture. The city offers a delectable array of ethnic foods, while the Sky Bar at the Traders Hotel gives you an astonishing view of one of the world’s most memorable landmarks, the Petronas Twin Towers.

Whether you’re just in town for the 2013 Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix, or you’re staying a little longer for a much needed vacation, the luxury, elegance and decadence of Kuala Lumpur provides an unforgettable experience.
