Grand Marnier, a delicate blend of fine cognacs and distilled essence of tropical oranges was created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle. The orange flavor liquor is widely used in food (desserts such as the crêpe suzette, crème brulée, tiramisu etc…) but can also be used to make cocktails. One of the most popular examples is the Grand Marnier Smash cocktail.
I’m always on the lookout for great new cocktails, and when in New York, I fell in love with the Grand Marnier Smash cocktail. The Grand Marnier Smash is a very simple cocktail to make and easy to drink; if you’re looking for a true mint-flavored refreshing cocktail this one should be on your list.
Grab your shaker, and let the fun begins!
